The Druids Nephew takes Handicap Chase

Barry Geraghty wins his 32nd Cheltenham Festival race as The Druids Nephew eases across the line in the Handicap Chase.

The Druids Nephew won the Ultima Business Solutions Handicap Chase at the Cheltenham Festival this afternoon.

It was a relatively comfortable victory for the eight-year-old, which also secured a 32nd career win for jockey Barry Geraghty at the Gloucestershire-based Festival.

"I always felt comfortable. It's only when we come here that we really appreciate what it means. The sooner you can [get a first win], the better," Geraghty told Channel 4.

It was also a first victory at the Festival for young trainer Neil Mulholland.

Grand Jesture, who was a 25-1 shot before the race, came second, while Gallant Oscar took third place.
