The best free bet clubs in the UK in September 2026 are Paddy’s Rewards Club (five £5 bets for a £5 to £50 free bet), Sky Bet Club (£30 a week for a reward you choose) and Betway’s Free Bet Club (£25 on trebles or bigger for £10 in free bets). Kwiff, Bet442, 888sport and BoyleSports are also worth a look if you bet on greyhounds or accumulators.

We read the full terms of nine clubs, worked out what each one pays back as a share of your stakes, and checked every operator’s UKGC licence before publishing.

These clubs can hand back a bigger share of your stakes than bookmakers typically keep. That makes them good value if you already bet that much, and a bad deal the moment you bet more just to qualify.

What is a free bet club?+

A free bet club rewards existing customers with a free bet when they stake a set amount, usually within a week. Unlike a welcome offer, you can earn it again and again.

The catch is in the terms. Minimum odds, bet types, opt-ins and short expiry dates all decide whether you actually get paid.

How we ranked the free bet clubs

We read the full terms of nine free bet clubs and loyalty schemes and recorded six things for each one: the threshold, minimum odds, qualifying period, reward, opt-in requirement and what’s excluded. Clear terms scored higher than vague ones.

The payback calculation: we divided the reward by the stakes needed to earn it and multiplied by 100. We assumed you’d have staked that amount anyway, rather than betting more to qualify.

Weightings: payback as a share of stakes came first, then how achievable the threshold is for a typical punter, then the quality of the terms (minimum odds and legs, expiry and exclusions), and finally anything else membership unlocks.

We checked every operator’s licence on the Gambling Commission public register before including it. Sports Mole may earn commission from some operators featured here, but that has no bearing on how we judged their terms.

What a free bet club is actually worth

Unlike the one-off welcome deals on our best free bets page, a club pays out week after week. The fairest way to compare clubs is the return in percentage terms: divide the reward by the stakes needed to earn it, then multiply by 100.

A £5 free bet for £25 of stakes is a 20% payback. A £5 free bet for £30 of stakes is just under 17%.

Bookmaker margins on a typical football match result are a single-figure percentage, so getting 17% to 20% of your stakes back as free bets is a generous deal.

There are three things that pull that number back down:

A free bet isn’t cash. Free bets can’t be withdrawn, have to be used with the bookmaker that gave them, and the stake isn’t returned with any winnings. So a £5 free bet is worth less than £5 in your balance.

Minimum odds change what you bet. Clubs that ask for 3/1 on three legs or more push you towards longer odds. If you normally back short-priced selections, you’d be taking on more risk just to qualify, and that cost never shows up in a comparison table.

Overextending. A threshold only works if it matches what you’d stake anyway. A £30 weekly threshold is great value for someone already staking £40 a week, and a bad deal for someone staking £15 who tops up to qualify. They’ve doubled their turnover for a £5 free bet, and should give it a miss.

1. Paddy’s Rewards Club: best for market range

Place five bets of £5 or more in a week at Paddy Power and you’ll get a free bet worth between £5 and £50. New accounts start with the Paddy Power sign up offer instead, and the club takes over from there.

How it works: Opt in, then place at least five bets of £5 or more between Monday 00:01 and Sunday 23:59. Each bet can be on any sport, as long as the odds, or combined odds, are Evens (2.0) or bigger. Shop bets count too if you use a linked Play Card. You get one free bet a week at most, credited by 12pm the following Monday and valid for seven days on any sports market. The terms say the free bet is worth between £5 and £50 “dependent on eligibility”, but don’t explain what decides your level.

What’s excluded: Cashed out and partially cashed out bets, void bets (including multiples with a void leg), Power Prices, Money Back tokens, Tote and pool bets, more than one bet on the same selection, and bets placed with free bets. Casino and games bets don’t count either, because Paddy Power runs its games rewards separately with its own opt-in.

Payback figure: 20% at the £5 level (£5 for £25 of bets). Over a 38-week football season that’s £190 back from £950 of stakes. The higher rewards can’t be valued from the published terms.

Any other benefits? None stated in the club terms.

2. Sky Bet Club: best for flexibility

Bet £30 in a week at Sky Bet and you’ll get a weekly reward you pick yourself. Opening an account is a separate step, and the Sky Bet sign up offer is where that starts.

How it works: Tap “Join the Club”, then bet £30 of cash stakes between 00:00 Monday and 23:59 Sunday, on markets at odds of 1/1 (2.0) or bigger. You choose your reward in advance from that week’s list and can change it until 23:59 on Sunday. If you don’t pick one, you’ll get the default 2 x £2.50 BuildABet reward. Rewards are credited by 7pm Monday and expire after seven days.

What’s excluded: Bonus funds, free bets and other promotional funds, plus cashed out and Tote pool bets.

Payback figure: 16.7% on the default £5 reward (£5 for £30). Over a 38-week season that’s £190 back from £1,140 of stakes.

Any other benefits? Yes, and this is where Sky Bet Club stands out. Qualifying unlocks Club Exclusives for the following week, including exclusive boosts and Best Odds Guaranteed on horse racing. Sky Bet only offers Best Odds Guaranteed to customers who qualified for the club the week before.

Stake £25 on trebles or bigger at Betway in a week and you’ll get £10 in free bets. The Betway sign up offer covers the first bet if you are new.

How it works: Opt in through the Free Bet Club tracker, then place at least £25 of real money bets on trebles, accumulators or Bet Builders with three or more selections, at overall odds of 2/1 (3.00) or bigger. The week runs from Saturday 00:00 to the following Friday 23:59 GMT. The £10 arrives as two £5 free bets, one on Saturday and one on Monday, both at 10:00 GMT. Each one can only be used on accumulators or Bet Builders with four or more legs at 2/1 or bigger, and expires seven days after it’s credited. The free bet stake isn’t returned.

What’s excluded: Bets cashed out in full or in part, and bets placed with free bets. A void selection is fine as long as the bet is still a treble or bigger. The free bets can’t be used on system or each-way bets.

Payback figure: 40% (£10 for £25). Over a 38-week season that’s £380 back from £950 of stakes, the best return on this page.

4. Kwiff Kennel Club: best for greyhound punters

Place three £10 greyhound bets in one day at Kwiff and you’ll get a £10 greyhound free bet the next business day. New customers come in through the Kwiff welcome offer first.

How it works: Place three or more single or acca bets of £10 or more on greyhound racing within one day (00:01 to 23:59), Monday to Thursday. Every selection needs odds of at least 1.75 (3/4), and the bets must be placed and settled on the same day. Only your first three qualifying bets each day count, and you can earn one £10 free bet per day. It’s credited by 17:00 on the next business day, and you have to log in and claim it. The free bet needs ticket odds of 2.00 or more, has to be used in one go on greyhounds, and expires 72 hours after it’s issued. No opt-in is needed, but the promotion is only for selected customers and runs until 31 December 2026.

What’s excluded: Cashed out, voided and free bets, Bet Builders, system bets, each-way bets and bets placed with Supercharge vouchers. The free bet can’t be used on odds boost markets.

Payback figure: 33.3% (£10 for £30). Qualify on one day a week across a 38-week season and that’s £380 back from £1,140. As it runs daily, you could qualify up to four times a week.

Place one £20 combo bet over the weekend at Bet442 and you’ll get a £5 free bet.

How it works: Place a single settled cash combo bet of £20 or more on any sportsbook market between 00:00 Saturday and 23:59 Sunday. The combined odds must be 2/1 (3.0) or bigger, and every selection must be priced above 1/2 (1.5). The £5 free bet lands within two hours of settlement, is valid for seven days and needs odds of Evens (2.0), so you can use it on a single. There’s one reward a week. There’s no opt-in button, but the terms say the qualifying bet must be placed while this promotion is the next one listed on your My Promotions page.

What’s excluded: Boosts and Specials, Odds Boosts, Build-A-Bet, and cashed out, void or unsettled bets. Bets placed with free bets, bonus funds or other promotional stakes don’t count either.

Payback figure: 25% (£5 for £20). Over 38 weekends that’s £190 back from £760.

The £5 free bet is credited within 72 hours of settlement, has to be used in one stake on a football acca with three or more legs (not virtuals), and expires after seven days. The terms don’t mention an opt-in. The promotion runs until 30 May 2027.

What’s excluded: Odds Boosts and cashed out bets don’t count, and the free bet can’t be used on system bets.

Any market on any sport counts, pre-match or live, but only your first settled acca each day qualifies. Once your fifth qualifying acca settles, a £5 accumulator free bet for any sport is credited within 24 hours and expires after seven days. The terms don’t set a weekly deadline.

What’s excluded: Free bets, cashed out and voided bets. A void leg doesn’t count as a leg, so an acca that drops below five legs won’t qualify.

Place five £10 football bets at talkSPORT BET and you’ll get a football free bet worth between £1 and £10. A new account begins with the talkSPORT BET sign up offer.

How it works: Opt in before you bet, then place five bets of £10 on any football market at odds of 1/1 or bigger, using your real cash balance, by Sunday 23:59 UK time. Once you qualify, open the Footie Rewards Board and turn a tile to reveal your free bet, which lands in your Bonus Funds. You can use it on any football market, in one go or as several smaller bets, and it expires three days after it’s awarded. The stake isn’t returned.

What’s excluded: Cashed out and partially cashed out bets, void bets, Bet Boosts, SP bets, virtual and special markets, Enhanced Acca and bets placed with Bonus Funds.

9. Virgin Bet Bet Builder Free Bet: best for a low threshold

Stake £10 on the sportsbook in a week at Virgin Bet and you’ll be offered a Bet Builder free bet worth between £1 and £20 on a selected game. The Virgin Bet sign up offer applies before any of that.

How it works: You qualify if you’ve staked and settled £10 or more on the sportsbook in the seven days up to 23:59 on the Friday before the offer period. Log in and a pop-up tells you what your free bet token is worth. Click “COLLECT BONUS” to accept it, and it can take up to two hours to arrive. The token can only be used on a Bet Builder on that week’s selected game, with at least three selections at odds of Evens or bigger, and it expires at full time of that game. The offer runs every week of the 2026/27 English football season, until 30 May 2027.

What’s excluded: Cancelled, voided and cashed out bets don’t count towards the £10. The token can’t be used on each-way bets, multiples, forecasts or tricasts.

Payback figure: Between 10% and 200%, because you won’t know the value until it’s offered. Over 38 weeks that’s £38 to £760 back from £380.

The terms that decide whether a club is worth joining

Before you join a free bet club, check the minimum odds and stakes needed to qualify, and how long you’ve got to use the reward. Here are the main terms side by side:

The ways people miss out on rewards they’ve earned

If a reward didn’t turn up when you expected it, one of these is usually the reason:

• The opt-in: Paddy Power, Sky Bet, Betway, BoyleSports and talkSPORT BET all need an opt-in. Paddy’s Rewards Club and Sky Bet Club also opt you out if you miss the target two weeks in a row, so you have to join again. Kwiff, Bet442 and Virgin Bet don’t need one, and 888sport’s terms don’t mention one.
• The qualifying window: Most clubs run Monday to Sunday, but Betway runs Saturday to Friday, Bet442 is weekends only and Kwiff works one day at a time. Kwiff and Bet442 also need your bets to settle inside the window, not just be placed there. If a late Sunday bet settles on Monday, check the terms or ask the bookmaker before you count on it.
• Cashing out a qualifying bet: All nine clubs exclude cashed out bets, so cashing out can quietly cost you the week’s reward.
• Minimum odds on individual bets: A £25 weekly total that includes a bet below the minimum odds won’t count in full. Some clubs also need a set number of bets, such as five £5 bets at Paddy Power rather than one £25 bet.
• Reward expiry: Most rewards last seven days, but talkSPORT BET gives you three days, Kwiff gives you 72 hours and Virgin Bet’s free bet expires at full time of the selected game. Use them or lose them.
• Restriction and withdrawal of membership: Operators reserve the right to exclude individual accounts from their clubs.

What changed for loyalty schemes in 2026?

Two UKGC rule changes took effect on 19 January 2026, both under LCCP Social Responsibility Code 5.1.1:

• Wagering requirements are capped at 10x: where a bonus has to be played through before you can withdraw, operators can’t ask for more than 10 times the bonus. Club rewards are usually free bets rather than bonus funds, so the cap rarely comes into play here.
• Promotions can’t mix gambling products: a single incentive can’t include more than one type of gambling product (betting, casino, bingo or lottery). A club that handed out casino free spins for sports bets, for example, is no longer allowed.

We checked the current terms of all nine clubs. None of the sports club terms mentions casino spins as a reward, and none sets a wagering requirement. Paddy Power still gives free spins to slots players, but through a separate games club with its own opt-in, and its sports terms say gaming bets don’t count.

Free bet clubs, loyalty programmes and daily tokens are three different things

Bookmakers reward regular customers in three main ways, and each suits a different kind of punter. Not every big bookmaker runs one: bet365, one of the UK’s largest, has no sportsbook free bet club.

Threshold free bet clubs: stake a set amount within a set period and get a fixed reward. Most need a minimum number of bets and minimum odds, such as five £5 bets rather than one £25 bet. These are the clubs covered on this page. Read the terms before you opt in.

Which punter does it suit? One with a steady weekly outlay.

Points and tier schemes: you build up points on your stakes and redeem them later, often with status levels. They’re harder to value because the conversion rate and tier benefits often aren’t published, and a rate that isn’t published can’t be valued. Paddy’s Rewards Club shows the same problem on a smaller scale: its free bet is worth between £5 and £50 “dependent on eligibility”, with no explanation of how to reach the top.

Which punter does it suit? One with high turnover over the long run.

Daily token schemes: an odds boost, price boost or free-to-play entry that’s issued every day. talkSPORT BET’s 30% Daily Boost is a good example: a boost token for selected sports markets, with a £10 maximum stake and minimum odds of 1/1, that expires the same day. There’s no threshold to chase, but the token is only worth something if you’d have placed that bet anyway.

Which punter does it suit? Daily bettors. It’s worth much less to someone who only bets on Saturdays.

Racing clubs sit outside all three. Coral Racing Club, for example, is free to join and rewards members with racing experiences rather than free bets.

How to choose your free bet club

Start with your normal weekly stake. That’s the most important factor: pick a club whose threshold you already reach without changing how you bet.

IF you stake £30+ a week, mostly around evens
THEN → Sky Bet Club or Paddy’s Rewards Club, where singles count.

IF you stake less than £20 a week
THEN → a threshold club probably isn’t for you. Virgin Bet’s £10 threshold is the exception, or try a daily token, which costs nothing and has no target to hit.

IF you mainly bet accumulators
THEN → Betway’s Free Bet Club pays back the most, with Bet442, 888sport and BoyleSports as alternatives.

IF you bet every day
THEN → a daily token scheme may suit you better, as its value comes from how often you bet rather than how much.

IF you mainly bet on horse racing
THEN → Sky Bet Club, because qualifying unlocks Best Odds Guaranteed for the following week.

IF you bet on greyhounds
THEN → Kwiff’s Kennel Club, if it’s available on your account.

IF you already have several bookmaker accounts
THEN → join the club at the bookmaker you’d naturally bet with most. Don’t split your bets across two thresholds and risk missing both.

The golden rule: don’t change your betting just to qualify. The best club is the one that fits the way you already bet, not the one with the biggest headline reward.
