Wimbledon ban 'selfie sticks'

The All England Club has banned tennis fans from bringing selfie sticks to Wimbledon this summer.

The photo-taking equipment, which allows people to attach their phones and cameras to a pole, is deemed a "nuisance" by the AELTC.

A spokesman for the association told the Sunday Times that the ban has been implemented "primarily so it doesn't interfere with spectators' enjoyment".

At the start of the year, Premier League clubs Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur banned selfie sticks from being used by supporters during match days.
