Duchess of Cornwall claims Andy Murray's Wimbledon sweatband

British number one Andy Murray reveals that the Duchess of Cornwall claimed his wristband after he threw it into the crowd at Wimbledon.

Andy Murray has revealed that the Duchess of Cornwall took his sweatband home in her handbag after his second-round Wimbledon win.

The 2013 champion threw his wristband into the crowd after his straight-sets win over Dutch player Robin Haase on Centre Court yesterday.

The British number one told reporters: "I saw her briefly after the match. The wristband actually hit the chairman of Wimbledon. He was there with her.

"Normally, you see who catches it. The duchess opened up her bag and my wristband was in there, so he obviously had given it to her."

The Clarence House Twitter account sent a message to Murray after the match, thanking him for the wristband.
