Teen 'arrested for McManaman death threat'

A teenager was reportedly arrested for sending a death threat to Wigan Athletic youngster Callum McManaman on Twitter.

The 21-year-old has been making headlines following his reckless tackle, which went unpunished, on Newcastle United's Massadio Haidara.

The tweet read: "cant wait till you come to st james' #GonnaDie #GetYourFuneralPlannedKid."

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy in Ashington, Northumberland and issued a fixed-penalty notice, according to The Metro.

The incident from Wigan's 2-1 victory over Newcastle left Haidara needing hospital treatment.
