Romelu Lukaku's father sentenced to 15 months in jail for assault

Lukaku's father given jail sentence

The father of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has reportedly been sentenced to 15 months in prison for assaulting a woman.

The Belgium international, who is currently on loan at West Bromwich Albion, learned that Roger Lukaku was given the verdict for failing to attend his trial.

The striker's father is alleged to have assaulted his former lover and kept her in the boot of his car, but the accused has stated that the woman is lying, according to the Daily Mail.

Roger has claimed that he missed his summons because he had recently moved to a different area in Brussels and was not registered at his new address.
