Third teenager arrested in connection with street attack on Watford fan

Another 18-year-old man is arrested in connection with the street attack that left a Watford supporter with a serious head injury.

A third teenager has been arrested by West Midlands police in connection with a street attack on a Watford fan.

The 44-year-old supporter is critically ill with a head injury after he was assaulted in Littles Lane following Watford's 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux on March 7.

An 18-year-old man was arrested at Fallings Park, Wolverhampton at around 3.30am on Friday following the detainments of another 18-year-old man and 13-year-old boy.

"Our investigation continues and three people have been arrested," ITV News quotes detective chief inspector Chris Hanson as saying.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank people for providing information and I am now appealing to anyone else involved in this incident to come forward.

"My team of detectives are determined to trace everyone that was involved, they will identify you, they will get you, and they will knock your door. Do the right thing - think of this family man with young children and come forward."

The man is believed to have been attacked while walking towards the train station.
