Ranger 'due in court for drink-driving'

Former Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger is expected to appear in court today in South Wales on a charge of drink-driving.

The 22-year-old, who now plays for Swindon Town, was arrested on February 2 for driving while being above the alcohol limit.

According to Wales Online, Ranger will appear in court today after he was arrested midway through his rape trial for allegedly failing to appear before magistrates in Cwmbran.

Ranger, who was cleared of rape last week, was scheduled to originally appear in court on February 19.
