Swansea City's Raheem Hanley banned after admitting drink-driving charge

Swansea defender banned for drink-driving

Swansea City defender Raheem Hanley has been issued with a 14-month driving ban after admitting to drink-driving.

The 21-year-old allegedly tried to avoid the arrest by hiding the keys to the Mercedes in his underpants.

Swansea Magistrates' Court heard that police trailed the £40,000 vehicle after Hanley was spotted driving "at speed" through the city centre.

The youngster denied running from the officers but admitted drink-driving and using a motor vehicle without insurance and without a proper licence, according to ITV News.

Hanley was also fined £2,000 by the court.
