Sunderland midfielder Craig Gardner sings Paolo Di Canio's name while on a train full of Black Cats fans.

Sunderland midfielder Craig Gardner showed his support to manager Paolo Di Canio by singing his name while on a train with fans.

While unsavoury scenes marred the Black Cats' 3-0 win over Newcastle United, ahead of the clash Sunderland fans were in high spirits.

Gardner, who was suspended for the clash, was spotted by fans on a train travelling to St James' Park and urged the 26-year-old to sing them a chant.
