Tottenham Hotspur striker Roberto Soldado has revealed the sad news that his wife suffered a miscarriage two weeks ago.
The 28-year-old had recently announced that he and his wife, Rocio Millan, were expecting their third child on social media site Instagram.
"A month ago she was pregnant, but unfortunately she had a miscarriage and lost the baby two weeks ago," The Telegraph quotes him as saying.
Soldado arrived at White Hart Lane in a £26m deal from Valencia in the summer.
