Jermain Defoe to become a father with ex-girlfriend

Tottenham Hotspur striker Jermain Defoe is expected to become a father for the first time in the New Year after his ex-girlfriend Anne-Marie Moore fell pregnant.

The England international, who briefly rekindled his relationship with Moore after getting dumped by singer Alexandra Burke earlier this year, is expected to welcome a son to the world in three months.

"Jermain plans to be fully involved in the child's life," The Mirror quotes a source as saying. "He has been going to the scans and will do everything he can to support the child financially and emotionally."

Moore, 31, announced the news via her Facebook page by uploading a scan of the baby.
