Ex-England star Sol Campbell puts London home up for sale for £25m

Campbell's home for sale at £25m

Former Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur defender Sol Campbell has reportedly put his London home up for sale for £25m.

The 40-year-old, who has put the six-bedroom property on the market with John D Wood estate agency, has made the move just days after complaining about the proposed mansion tax.

Labour leader Ed Miliband recently stated that owners with properties worth more than £2m should be hit with an annual charge.

In response to this, Campbell wrote on Twitter: "#MansionTax? Why should we except this? @UKLabour are the grim reaper of business entrepreneurs or anyone that has done well!

"Some people only have their houses to support their incomes, some have been lucky or have risked a lot with their properties.

"They don't trust bankers or the stocks and shares market and now labour want to penalise everyone with a £2million+ home!"

According to the Daily Mail, Campbell's property, which overlooks the Thames, contains a drawing room, library and dining room.
