Roma's Gervinho 'tried to sneak woman on private jet back to Italy'

Roma's Gervinho reportedly tried to sneak a woman on his private jet back to Italy.

The 27-year-old, who moved to the Serie A side from Arsenal last year, is said to have organised a private plane after helping Ivory Coast secure their place in the Africa Cup of Nations next year.

According to the Daily Star, Gervinho tried to bribe four airport staff to permit an unnamed woman to join him on the flight.

It is believed that Gervinho was eventually forced to fly home alone after the pilot refused to take off with the extra passenger on board.

Staff involved in the alleged incident are being investigated.
