Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been filmed pleading with Iran supporters to let him sleep on the eve of the World Cup clash between the two nations.
Ronaldo, who heads into Monday evening's Group B match with four goals in two games under his belt, was kept awake at the Selecao's Saransk base until the early hours of this morning.
Iran fans blew horns and banged drums outside the hotel, forcing the Real Madrid superstar to take matters into his own hands by appearing at his window and gesturing for those below to be quiet.
