Video: Cristiano Ronaldo 'almost falls asleep' during statue unveiling

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been caught on camera seemingly struggling to keep his eyes open during the unveiling of a statue erected in his honour.

The 29-year-old flew straight to his hometown of Funchal following Los Blancos' 2-0 Club World Cup final victory over San Lorenzo in Marrakech on the weekend, which perhaps explains his fatigue.

In addition to the 3.4m statue, Ronaldo also has a museum in his name on the Portuguese island of Madeira.
