A museum dedicated to Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo will open its doors on December 15.

It had been claimed last month that the Portugal international had given the green light to dedicate a museum to his achievements within football.

It is understood that fans will be able to visit the museum in Ronaldo's birthplace in Funchal following the grand opening next Sunday.

The museum will house Ronaldo's winners' medals, other items of memorabilia and photographs of the 28-year-old throughout his career.
