Cristiano Ronaldo gives agent Greek island as wedding gift

Cristiano Ronaldo has given his agent a Greek island as a wedding present after Jorge Mendes asked the Ballon d'Or to be his best man.

The Portuguese agent is responsible for brokering some of the biggest transfers in football history, including the forward's £80m move to Real Madrid in 2009.

According to the Spanish media, the 30-year-old purchased a private island for Mendes and his new wife.

Reports suggest that the island would have cost Ronaldo at least £4.5m.
