Real Madrid's Pepe 'buys 9,000 kilos of food for poor families in Spain'

Pepe 'buys food for poor Madrid families'

Real Madrid defender Pepe has reportedly tried to help a number of poor families in Spain by purchasing nine kilos of food.

The 31-year-old does not have the best reputation on the field as he has been sent off 12 times in his career, but the Portugal international has shown his generosity this week.

According to Spanish newspaper AS, Pepe used his own money to buy food packages for around 200 families in the neighbourhood of Las Rozas.

The defender is also believed to have been personally involved in distributing the food.
