Fan jailed for storming pitch to give Cristiano Ronaldo a hug

Teenage fan Ronald Gjoka is jailed for storming a pitch to meet Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo and give him a hug.

A fan spent one night in jail after invading a pitch to meet Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo.

Nineteen-year-old Ronald Gjoka made his way onto the field during Madrid's 3-1 victory over Chelsea in the International Champions Cup final and received a hug from the former Ballon d'Or winner before being taken away by the police.

"[I] told him you're one of my biggest idols, always followed you and I said, 'Please, Ronaldo, don't let the cops take me,' and that's when Ronaldo gave me a very big hug," Gjoka told Local10.

"I got the opportunity to talk to Ronaldo. It was a unique opportunity and I had to take it. It was worth the detention."

Gjoka was jailed for trespassing and disorderly conduct.
