Reading manager Brian McDermott says that he would go on a night out with "funny" winger Jimmy Kebe.

Reading manager Brian McDermott has expressed an interest in going on a night out with winger Jimmy Kebe.

The 29-year-old found the back of the net in a 2-1 win over Sunderland on Saturday and McDermott has insisted that his player's sense of humour is a hit with the whole squad.

"He is a funny boy," the Daily Mail quotes McDermott as saying. "He's a great lad, got a dry sense of humour, he works hard, he is a team man. The fans love him, quite right. I might go out with him because he would be good fun to go out with."

Last month, Kebe joked about joining Newcastle United.
