Former Norwich City player Darren Eadie was called a c*** during a broadcast by his Mustard TV co-host Helen McDermott.

In an apparent editing mistake by programme, the 60-year-old made the remark jokingly as she introduced a package featuring Eadie, which has reportedly resulted in disciplinary action being taken against McDermott.

Managing director of Mustard TV, Fiona Ryder told HoldTheFrontPage: "In a recent pre-recorded segment of a Mustard TV show, presenter Helen McDermott used inappropriate language in an exchange with a colleague.

"The segment was subsequently re-recorded, but the wrong edit of the segment was broadcast. Helen and Mustard TV apologise for this lapse and for any offence caused."

Eadie played for Norwich for six years between 1993 and 1999.
