Norwich City's Sebastien Bassong poses for photos with handgun

Norwich City defender Sebastien Bassong has sparked controversy by posing for photos holding a handgun.

Pictures of the 26-year-old appearing to fire the weapon emerged online, while another was posted showing the defender holding the gun to his lips.

The images are thought to have been posted by Bassong on Instagram, with the defender saying that he was having a "garden shooting session" and practising for his daughter Elyah's "security", according to The Sun.

The images have since been removed, and reports have claimed that a Norwich spokesman insisted that the gun was not real.
