Frank Lampard given good-luck cake

Frank Lampard's future sister-in-law has given the footballer a good-luck cake ahead of his move to MLS side New York City FC.

The former England international, who spent 13 years at Chelsea before spending a season at Manchester City, will move across the pond next month.

Lampard recently revealed that his fiancee Christine Bleakley will not move with him to the United States permanently due to TV projects that she has in the UK.

Prior to his departure, the 36-year-old posted a picture on his official Facebook page of a New York-themed cake, which included the words 'good luck Christine & Frank' in icing.

Alongside the picture, Lampard wrote: "Thanks for a lovely goodbye and good luck cake from my sister in law to be !"
