Middlesbrough team bus held up by London traffic

Heavy traffic around Wembley means that Middlesbrough arrive for their playoff final clash against Norwich City just one hour before kickoff.

Middlesbrough's Championship playoff final preparations have got off to a bad start, after they were delayed arriving at Wembley due to heavy London traffic.

Boro only reached the ground an hour before kickoff, thanks to the aid of a police escort, which is around 70 minutes or so after opponents Norwich City arrived.

The delay meant that the Smoggies were also late publishing their team sheet ahead of the £120m showdown, although they have been handed a huge boost by the inclusion of on-loan striker Patrick Bamford in their starting lineup.

Aitor Karanka's men have failed to win in their four previous appearances at Wembley.
