Thieves steal Paul Scholes's defrosting car

Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes was the victim of a theft when his car was stolen from his driveway.

The 38-year-old was defrosting his Chevrolet Captiva LTZ estate with the engine running after discovering that ice had melted on the windscreen.

The former England international went inside his house in Oldham around 7.45am yesterday to leave the car defrosting and when he returned, the vehicle was gone.

The police were notified and are investigating the theft.
