Virgin Trains mock Manchester United's Chris Smalling after sending-off

Virgin Trains mock Manchester United defender Chris Smalling by offering him cheap tickets to get out of the city following his sending-off in the Manchester derby.

Chris Smalling has been targeted by the official Twitter account of Virgin Trains, who have poked fun at the Manchester United defender's red card in Sunday's derby.

The 24-year-old got sent off for a second bookable offence before Manchester City went on to snatch a 1-0 win against their local rivals at the Etihad Stadium.

This morning, Virgin Trains took the opportunity to make fun of the centre-back by tweeting: "Hi Chris Smalling. Looking to get out of Manchester? We've got tickets to London Euston from £12.50. One way, of course..."

United manager Louis van Gaal described Smalling's tackle as "not very smart" after the derby clash.
