RVP most popular for second year

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie was the most popular player among fans last year after it was confirmed that the Dutchman's name was printed on more shirts than any other footballer.

The Premier League Season Review 2013-14 has revealed that Van Persie topped the list, while Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard's name was the second-most used by fans on their shirts, according to the Daily Mail.

Luis Suarez, who has now moved to Barcelona from Liverpool, was third in the list, while Chelsea's Eden Hazard and Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil made the top five.

Wayne Rooney, Sergio Aguero, Juan Mata, Shinji Kagawa and Frank Lampard were also included in the top 10.
