Wayne Rooney visits Smith brothers in training at Amir Khan's gym

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney took some time out to visit boxing brothers Stephen, Liam and Callum Smith while they trained at Amir Khan's gym in Bolton this week.

The England skipper has been out of the United team this week as he is currently nursing a hamstring problem.

While his teammates suffered a 2-1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League group stage on Tuesday night, Rooney headed to the Gloves Community Centre.

While there, Rooney met up with Khan and the Liverpool-born brothers, who are preparing for upcoming fights.

On Instagram, Khan wrote: "nice to have @waynerooney at the Amir khan academy today to support the Smith brothers whilst training."
