Manchester United apprentices 'to buy fat suits to mock Wayne Rooney in Christmas panto'

Manchester United youngsters are reportedly planning to mock striker Wayne Rooney at the annual Christmas panto.

The England international is believed to be the source of the jokes for next month's performance as they intend to mock the 27-year-old's pre-season weight.

It is understood that some of the performers are considering buying fat suits for the show, according to The Sun.

Reports have claimed that the apprentices are also planning to name the player that threw a mince pie at manager Sir Alex Ferguson's face last year.
