Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney avoids having to pay a fine after parking on double yellow lines.

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney managed to dodge a parking fine after pulling up on double yellow lines.

The England international drove to the city centre of Manchester in his Bentley and left his vehicle after parking illegally.

The car was spotted by a passing traffic warden, who wrote out a ticket but Rooney's friend managed to appear just in time to move the car.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old has been left out of tonight's England friendly against Sweden due to an injury.
