Manchester United winger Memphis Depay has poked fun at a story focusing on the Dutchman's recent trip to a supermarket.

During a day filled with last-minute transfer deals, the Daily Mail ran a story on Monday detailing Depay's visit to the shops.

In the article, it was claimed that the 21-year-old, who joined United from PSV Eindhoven last summer, stocked up on toilet paper, water and Capri Sun.

Depay spotted the story and tweeted an image of the headline, adding the caption: "The most important news of the past transfer deadline, lucky me."
