Manchester United bring back collar for new home kit

Manchester United have taken inspiration from former captain Eric Cantona for their new home strip for the 2013-14 season.

The Premier League champions will don a black collar made famous by the Frenchman, who wore his upturned during the 1990s, on their traditional red shirt.

A statement from the club said: "United's new home shirt for 2013-14 takes inspiration from the club's success and Manchester's industrial heritage. It is available to pre-order now and can be purchased in stores tomorrow (Thursday, June 6) at 8.30am BST."

Wayne Rooney, who has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, has been used in the promotional photos.
