Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester appearance on book tour 'sells out in 20 minutes'

Tickets for Sir Alex Ferguson's live appearance in Manchester to discuss his new autobiography reportedly sold out in 20 minutes.

The former Manchester United boss is undergoing a five-day book tour in England, Scotland and Ireland from October to promote My Autobiography, which details the Scotsman's 26 years in charge at Old Trafford.

A limited number of tickets for The Lowry Art and Entertainment centre went on sale on Friday at 10am, and were sold out 20 minutes later, according to the Daily Mail.

Ferguson will also be visiting London, Glasgow, Aberdeen and Dublin.
