Ferdinand 'fined for speeding'

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has reportedly been fined for speeding just days after completing a six-month driving ban.

The 34-year-old is thought to have been clocked driving at 48mph in a 40mph zone in Stockport, despite just returning to the road.

It is believed that Stockport magistrates have handed the centre-back a £200 fine and three penalty points, according to the Manchester Evening News.

Ferdinand has been banned from driving on four separate occasions.
