Bolt to appear in United friendly?

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has hinted that he could be prepared to allow Usain Bolt to appear for the club in a friendly next year.

The Jamaican sprinter has continually made it known that he would love to play for Manchester United, and Ferguson has hinted that Bolt could be asked about playing in next year's friendly with Real Madrid's Legends at Old Trafford on June 3.

Ferguson told Inside United: "Usain's a character and a big United fan, but it's interesting he says he would like to play in a charity game.

"It could be brilliant, and next year when we play Real Madrid's Legends again, there could be opportunities to bring him up and see how he does."

Bolt won the 100m and 200m at last month's London Olympic Games.
