BBC aim to keep Thierry Henry, Rio Ferdinand on panel after World Cup?

The BBC are reportedly keen to add Thierry Henry and Rio Ferdinand to their football punditry panel after the World Cup.

The BBC are reportedly eager to keep hold of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry and Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand on their punditry team after the World Cup.

Reports have claimed that the broadcasters are keen to add more diversity to their panel after director of television Danny Cohen claimed that Match of the Day should not have only "white men".

According to the Daily Mail, the BBC will try to tie down Henry and Ferdinand to the panel next season when the football highlights and analysis show celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The broadcasters may struggle to keep hold of the duo as it is believed that Henry, who plays for New York Red Bulls, has been handed an offer from Sky, and Ferdinand has a deal with BT Sport.
