Sterling suffers online racist abuse

Manchester City star Raheem Sterling has been the victim of online racist abuse after posting a family picture on Instagram.

The 20-year-old, who was abused by Liverpool fans on social media following his summer move to Manchester City, uploaded a photo with his young daughter Melody Rose and his niece.

Alongside the picture, Sterling wrote: "Perfect Sunday with my niece and my daughter #LaFam."

According to The Mirror, one Instagram user commented: "black c***. fuck your stupid family hope they burn".

Another posted a picture of snakes with bags of cash, adding: "All about the money init you fucking snake."

Sterling has scored six goals in all competitions for City so far this season.
