Courtney Meppen-Walter 'compares jail time to an injury layoff'

Meppen-Walter 'compares jail to injury'

Former Manchester City youngster Courtney Meppen-Walter reportedly compared his time in prison to a stint on the sidelines with injury.

The 19-year-old was jailed in February after pleading guilty to causing the death of Kulwant Singh, 32, and his sister Ravel Kaur, 37, in a car crash last September.

A letter written by Meppen-Walter, who was released from prison last week, has been published by the Manchester Evening News, saying: "Yo it's a minor being in here you know just like having a 4 month injury for me."

The letter is said to have been written in April, just over one month into his original 16-month sentence.
