Greater Manchester Police joke that Manchester City's shirts were untouched following a break-in at a sportswear store in the city.

Greater Manchester Police's Urmston branch have poked fun at Manchester City following a break-in at a nearby sportswear store.

Thieves targeted a Sports Direct in the city over the weekend, resulting in police appealing for the public to contact them if they are offered the stolen goods for sale.

The police wrote on Twitter:


The account later added that they hoped the joke "didn't upset too many people."
