Manchester City have secured record season-ticket sales following the expansion of the Etihad Stadium.
The former Premier League champions increased the ground's capacity from 48,000 to 55,000 prior to the start of the new season.
The construction, which was carried out on the South stand, resulted in 40,000 season tickets being sold, which is a club record, according to the Daily Mail.
City recorded their biggest match attendance for 42 years when 54,331 turned up to watch the side's 3-0 win over Chelsea earlier this month.
