Firmino tries to return champagne award

Liverpool midfielder Roberto Firmino tried to hand back a bottle of champagne to a reporter after he was given it for his man-of-the-match performance in the Capital One Cup.

The Brazilian, who signed for the Reds from Hoffenheim in the summer, impressed manager Jurgen Klopp in Wednesday night's 1-0 win over Bournemouth at Anfield.

After the match, the 24-year-old, who is yet to grasp the English language, was handed a bottle of champagne from teammate Nathaniel Clyne following a TV interview with Sky Sports.

Once he had received the bottle, Firmino appeared confused as he tried to hand it back to the reporter, but he was told that the sparkling wine was his to keep.
