Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard reunite at Liverpool's training ground

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has admitted that he gave an "emotional" farewell to Luis Suarez this morning after his former teammate visited the club's Melwood training ground.

The Uruguayan international signed for Barcelona in July following three years at Anfield, but returned to Merseyside today to collect his belongings.

Gerrard posted a picture of the pair together holding a signed Barcelona shirt, which appears to be a gift from Suarez, on Instagram.

Alongside the photo, Gerrard wrote the caption: "He is back bearing gifts emotional saying goodbye to the main man this morning best wishes to a phenomenal player."
