Rodgers 'fined for neglecting property'

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has reportedly been fined for neglecting a property in Accrington and leaving it in a derelict state for three years.

The Northern Irishman and his business partner Judith O'Hagan were found guilty of ignoring an improvement notice issued by Hyndburn Council.

The pair were ordered to remove the rubbish from the terrace house, as well as fix the doors, windows and roof, but nothing was carried out on the £69,950 property.

According to the Daily Mail, Rodgers has been hit with a £400 fine and a £375 in costs, along with a £40 surcharge, but neither Rodgers nor O'Hagan were present at Blackburn Magistrates' Court when the orders were made.

Rodgers and his business partner purchased the property in August 2007.
