Anton Rodgers: Explicit photos were "boy banter"

The son of Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that he posed for photos with a girl alleged to have been sexually assaulted in a bid to "fit in".

Anton Rodgers, along with three Brighton & Hove Albion teammates, was allegedly photographed pleasuring himself over a 19-year-old girl as she slept in a hotel in July 2011, the Old Bailey heard yesterday.

The 20-year-old has denied that anything sexual occurred and that the photos were down to "stupid behaviour" and "boy banter", according to the Daily Star.

Liverpool boss Rodgers was in attendance yesterday as the trial continues.
