Liverpool 'to submit plans for Anfield redevelopment'

Liverpool are reportedly close to submitting a planning application for the £150m redevelopment of Anfield.

The Merseyside outfit decided last year to expand the club's ground as opposed to building a new stadium in Stanley Park.

Liverpool City Council and social housing developer Your Housing Group are believed to be in talks with residents in the area, where 90 houses which need to be demolished have yet to be bought, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The Premier League outfit are understood to be hopeful that the properties will be purchased in the next two months.
