A monument and memorial clock are installed as tributes to the 96 victims of the Hillsborough tragedy.

Tributes to the 96 victims of the Hillsborough tragedy have been made in the form of a monument and memorial clock in Liverpool.

Three hundred people attended a ceremony to witness the unveiling of a monument on Old Haymarket on the eve of the 24th anniversary of the tragedy.

Along with the monument, a memorial clock was presented privately to the families of those affected by the disaster at Liverpool Town Hall.

Anfield will hold the annual Hillsborough memorial service, with the club's American owners expected to attend.

Ninety six Liverpool supporters died as a result of a crush at the Hillsborough stadium during a 1989 FA Cup semi-final between the Merseyside club and Nottingham Forest.
