Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher has reportedly been offered a deal by Sky Sports to work as a pundit for the network from next season.

Carragher will end his playing career at Anfield in May and has been offered a substantial amount to join the Sky Sports team, according to The Mirror.

BT Sport are also thought to be keen on the former England international as they gear up to start showing Premier League games from August.

The 35-year-old got a taste for punditry during last summer's European Championships for ITV Sport and could join Gary Neville in making an immediate move into television after playing at the highest level.
