Jamie Carragher drives to Liverpool's training ground by mistake

Jamie Carragher reveals that he drove to Liverpool's Melwood training ground by mistake after forgetting that he was initially heading for the gym.

Former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher drove to the club's Melwood training ground by mistake this morning.

The 36-year-old retired from the game in May 2013 and now works as a Sky Sports pundit alongside former Manchester United captain Gary Neville.

After spending 17 years in the Liverpool senior team, Carragher is used to taking the regular drive to Melwood, but the ex-defender accidentally ended up there today on his way to the gym.

He wrote on Twitter: "Anyone ever drive to there previous employment without thinking? I've just drove to Melwood! Supposed to be going the gym!!"

Carragher won two FA Cups, three League Cups and one Champions League with Liverpool.
