Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli shows off 'Super Mario' snood

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has shown off his new 'Super Mario' snood after a training session at Melwood.

The 24-year-old, who was left out of the latest Italy squad for their Euro 2016 qualifiers this week, posted the image to his Instagram page.

Balotelli has fully adopted his nickname 'Super Mario' by getting a new snood custom made by Just-Keepers.com, with the video game character's face emblazoned on the piece of clothing.

Balotelli has scored just once for the Reds following his summer move from AC Milan.
